RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Las Vegas, in

the County of Clark and State of Nevada, has taken steps to

create certain public improvements within said City, all as

designated as Las Vegas Special Improvement District No.

489; and

WHEREAS, by resolution passed, adopted and approved on

the 19th day of September, 1990, the City Clerk was directed to

publish notice of the receipt of bids for the furnishing of

labor, materials, transportation and services for the improve

ments to be installed in each assessment unit of said Special

Improvement District No. 489; and

WHEREAS, proper notices were given by publication of the

receipt of bids for the furnishing of such labor, materials,

transportation and services; and

WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on the 13th day

of November, 1990, and confirmation thereof was continued for

the purpose of tabulating and reporting the same to said City

Council; and

WHEREAS, the time has now arrived to award the construc

tion contract in each of the individual assessment units of said

District, all in accordance with Chapter 271 of the Nevada

Revised Statutes;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of

the City of Las Vegas, at this regular meeting thereof that is

being held on this 6th day of March, 1991, that the bid of

improvements that are to be constructed and installed in AS

SESSMENT UNIT NO. I and in the amount of $2,389.00 for the

improvements that are to be constructed and installed in AS

SESSMENT UNIT NO. II of said District be, and the same hereby is,

accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of

said City be, and they hereby are, authorized, empowered and

directed to execute any and all documents which may be necessary

to carry this Resolution into effect.

PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of March,

1991.

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND

S.I.D. NO.: 489

STEP: Resolution accepting bids.

IMPROVEMENTS: The installation of street paving and

driveway approaches.

LOCATION: Along both sides of Helen Avenue from

Duncan Drive to Alexander Road.

FISCAL IMPACT

The estimated costs in the amount of $60,905.00 that the City will

incur in installing the improvements in Special Improvement District

No. 489 will be paid out of the Special Improvement District Revolving

Fund and will be recovered over a 10 year period through the levy and

collection of special assessments.

RECOMMENDATIONS

It is recommended that the City Council adopt this Resolution.
